퇴적층서학연구실
Sedimentology and Stratigraphy Laboratory
퇴적층서학연구실은 퇴적학·층서학·분지해석을 기반으로 퇴적환경의 변화와 퇴적분지의 진화, 에너지자원의 형성 및 분포를 연구합니다. 현장지질조사와 코어·시추공 검층·탄성파·지화학 자료를 통합하여 퇴적시스템과 석유시스템을 해석하고, 저류층의 특성과 공간적 분포를 규명합니다. 특히 심해 퇴적시스템과 사암 저류층, 셰일가스의 생성·저장 특성과 생산 잠재성, 오일샌드의 퇴적구조와 저류층 불균질성에 주목합니다. 이러한 연구를 3차원 지질모델링과 연계하여 석유·가스 탐사 및 개발, 이산화탄소 지중저장에 활용합니다.
- 퇴적학·층서학·분지해석: 퇴적상과 퇴적환경 복원, 순차층서 해석, 분지 진화 연구
- 심해 퇴적시스템: 퇴적물 중력류, 해저선상지와 로브의 발달, 심해 사암 저류층 분포 예측
- 석유지질·석유시스템: 근원암 평가, 탄화수소 생성·이동·집적 및 유가스 부존 잠재성 분석
- 비전통 유가스자원: 오일샌드 및 셰일가스 저류층 지질모델링 및 생산유망성 평가
- 이산화탄소 지중저장: 저장층 특성화와 지질모델 구축, 저장 적합성 평가
- 셰일가스 평가: 캐나다 혼리버·몬트니·리아드·듀버네이 지역을 대상으로 퇴적환경, 유기지화학 및 저류층 물성을 통합한 셰일가스 잠재성 평가 연구 수행. 검층 기반 탈착가스량 추정과 3차원 가스량 모델링, 저류층 특성과 생산성의 연계 분석
- 오일샌드 저류층 연구: 캐나다 아사바스카 지역의 맥머리층과 와비스코층을 대상으로 퇴적상·저류층 분포 분석 및 다점지구통계 기반 지질모델링 수행. 저류층 모델과 경제성 평가를 연계한 개발 유망구간 분석
- 울릉분지 심해 연구: 대륙붕단의 퇴적체 구조와 발달사, 시추코어 저콘 연대 기반 층서, 심해저 해저선상지의 퇴적과정 및 석유탐사 시사점에 관한 연구 발표
